We were pleased to participate in the SEA4SHORE National Conference held at Lithuanian Maritime Academy on February 23 in Klaipėda.
The event brought together maritime professionals, educators, and industry representatives to discuss seafarers’ career development and long-term professional opportunities.
Artur Truš, Chairman of the Lithuanian Crewing Companies Association, represented the Association at the conference and delivered a presentation on “Career Development and Transitions of Seafarers at Sea.” He addressed the growing lack of marine professionals in the industry, highlighting how this challenge creates significant opportunities for rapid career growth and cross-sector talent transfer. He emphasized the vital role crewing companies play in supporting the long-term professional growth of seafarers.
