On May 15th, the annual “Albatross” Maritime Culture Awards ceremony took place at the “Albatross” monument in Smiltynė, Lithuania -a memorial dedicated to sailors and ships that never returned home.
This meaningful event brought together Klaipėda’s maritime community to honor individuals and organizations whose work strengthens Lithuania’s identity as a maritime nation and contributes to preserving and promoting maritime culture.
The Lithuanian Sea Captains Association received the main award for its long-standing contribution to fostering maritime culture, strengthening the maritime community, and promoting Klaipėda as a maritime city.
Artur Truš, CEO of OJ Crew, was nominated for his dedication to uniting and strengthening the maritime community, his consistent efforts in building a stronger maritime nation, and for his exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and transformative impact across the maritime sector.
